Former NRL stars Siosiua Taukeiaho and Jayden Nikorima have been sacked by Catalans Dragons after a “highly unacceptable” incident.
Both players and their teammate Damel Diakhate saw their contracts terminated with immediate effect by the Super League club.
It was after the club had completed a ‘disciplinary procedure’.
In a statement released on Friday evening (AEST), the club said the trio’s actions were “contrary to the club’s values”.
“Following a disciplinary procedure, the Catalans Dragons have decided to terminate the contracts of three of their players with immediate effect,” the statement said.
The players involved are Siua Taukeiaho, Jayden Nikorima and Damel Diakhate.
‘All players were involved in an incident that the club considers completely unacceptable and which is contrary to the club’s values.’
It is said that the players skipped training to attend a concert in England.

Taukeiaho, 32, made his NRL debut with the Warriors in 2013 before moving to the Roosters the following year, playing 167 games for the club across nine seasons.
The 32-year-old won back-to-back NRL championships in 2018 and 2019 before moving to the South of France last year.
He is now being tipped for offers from NRL clubs keen to add some punch to their attacking squad.
Nikorima, 27, played nine NRL games with the Roosters and Storm between 2016 and 2023 before joining Catalans this season, where he impressed in the halves.
But with Luke Keary signing a two-year deal with the Dragons this week, there is every chance he will seek opportunities elsewhere in 2025.
Clubs such as Castleford Tigers, Hull FC, London Broncos and Warrington Wolves are expected to be of vital importance to Nikorima.
