Two men wearing balaclavas have been arrested near John Ibrahim’s home in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. One of them was carrying a firearm.
The pair were spotted acting suspiciously before police were called to the scene on George Street near Dover Heights before 9am on Thursday.
One of the men fled on foot before being arrested, while the second man chased police and was subsequently handcuffed.
“A police operation in the Eastern Suburbs has concluded following a pursuit this morning,” a New South Wales Police spokesperson said.
‘Officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command have arrested two men. Enquiries are ongoing.
