Angel Reese gets her nails and hair done when she hits the court, but make no mistake: The WNBA rookie definitely has “that dog” in her.
The Chicago Sky star admitted she feels like she’s leading a “double life” between breaking records on the basketball court and attending glamorous events like the Met Gala.
“My nails and hair and everything are always done. I’m the girly girl on the track, but I still have that dog mentality and can go out there and compete,” she said. told People Magazine.
“I guess I lead a double life,” the 22-year-old continued.
“Off the court, I model, I take pictures, I like to dress up, I like to have fun — and on the court, I mind my own business. I like to work hard, I like to win. I’m a winner, so I do whatever it takes to win.”

Reese also shared some advice she wishes she had given herself when she was younger.
“Be yourself and don’t care what others think,” she said.
“Everyone’s always going to have an opinion – whether you’re the best or the worst. I am who I am and I accept who I am. People are either going to love it or hate it,” she continued.
“I think that’s what sets you apart from the rest.”
The LSU alum stressed that she wants to let young girls know that “it’s okay to do both,” noting that “women don’t need to be put in a box where they have to do one specific thing.”

“You can be cute on and off the field, but when you get on the field, you just have to have that mentality to do your job out there,” she said.
Elsewhere in the interview, the superstar and debutante said she’s “always been confident” despite not having “the perfect life.”
“I think it started when I was always the tallest in the class. I had to be confident because I was towering over everyone,” she explained. “So it started at a young age.”

Reese will join rival Caitlin Clark on Saturday in Phoenix for their first WNBA All-Star game.
