Billie Eilish says he was once ghosted by a ‘small, pathetic man’.
The Lunch singer, 22, was speaking to a potential partner last December, but he suddenly cut off all contact and she still has no idea why.
When she appeared on the BBC podcast Miss Me?’ appeared, she told hosts Lily Allen and Miquita Oliver: “I’ve been ghosted before. In December I had some crazy ghosting.
“I was like… ‘Did you die…? Did you literally die?’ It was someone I had known for years. Never heard from them again. Ever.
‘It was literally insane. I could not believe it. What a pathetic man! What a little man.’

Billie first came to public attention in 2015 with her debut single Ocean Eyes and has since become one of the biggest artists in the world, but admitted her fame had cost her her friends.
She said, ‘Well, I lost all my friends when I became famous.
‘I was suddenly famous and couldn’t hang out with anyone anymore. It was heavy. It was really difficult.’
She added: “And then it was my 20th birthday and I remember looking around the room and just hiring people. And all fifteen years or older than me.’
Fortunately, she still has a good relationship with her best friend, Zoe, and her friends.
However, one of her employees resigned and never spoke to her again.
She recalled, “And it was the worst thing that happened to me. And that made me realize, ‘oh wait, this is a job.’
“If they left me, they would never see me again.”
Despite this, she said she has since reached out to her old friends and made some new ones along the way.
Billie added, “Exactly a year ago I reconnected with a bunch of old friends and now I have so many friends. I have a crew now! I could literally cry about it. It is the most beautiful thing that has happened to me.’
She added: “And then it was my 20th birthday and I remember looking around the room and just hiring people. And all 15 years or older than me’ (given his snaps from the party)
On her 20th birthday, she shared photos from the event, which only included a photo of her cake and an empty bouncy castle.

She said that when she recently accompanied them to a party at Coachella, she burst into tears.
The star explained, “I was like, ‘Guys, I have friends and I just love you guys so much, and it’s been so long since I’ve had friends.’ I cried… and that’s literally because I actually have a friendship again now.’
The singer-songwriter went on to say that the lyrics “But with a little help from my friends I found the light in the tunnel at the end” from Lily Allen’s 2006 debut single Smile inspired her to make new friends.
She added, “I always wanted to cry when I heard that sentence because I didn’t feel that way, because I didn’t have any friends.
“And I remember thinking that’s how I wanted to feel. And I want to listen to this song that I relate to in every way, and hear that line about friends and say, my friends got me through it.”
Billie will perform in Paris on June 11 after releasing her first self-directed music video to accompany her new single Chihiro.
The video stars Nat Wolff, known for The Naked Brothers Band, The Fault In Our Stars and Paper Towns.
Chihiro is the second single from her album Hit Me Hard and Soft, which was released in May and follows Lunch.
The Los Angeles native said she “envisioned a dream-like story” for the music video.
Eilish said that in an effort to “symbolize the different corners of the mind,” she included images of “long, dark hallways and doors closing” in the clip.
The video shows Billie walking through a series of hallways in a drab institutional building, where she eventually meets up with Natt.
Chihiro is the name for the main character from the 2001 Japanese cult film Spirited Away.
The video has been viewed more than three million times on YouTube in the less than 24 hours it has been online.
The lyric video for the song that has been viewed 7.7 million times on the platform.
Billie took to Instagram on May 16 with a clip of herself sitting next to her brother and musical collaborator Finneas and talking about their latest creative venture.
She captioned the post: “Dude ‘HIT ME HARD AND SOFT’ my 3rd album is out now I don’t even know what to SAAYY…”
Billie added that she and her sibling “put so much into this album and have never loved anything more.”
She continued, “We hope you enjoy it so much and I’ll see you on the other side EEEEEEEEEEEEEK HMHAS NOW EVERYWHERE LOVE YOU ALL TO DEAAAAATH!!!!”
Luckily, she is still close with her best friend, Zoe, and some of her staff members who are friends
Despite this, she said she has since reached out to her old friends and made some new ones along the way (seen during a performance in March 2024)
Billie and her brother, 26, previously collaborated on two studio albums: When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and 2021 is happier than ever.
She said Rolling stone in April: ‘I feel like this album is me. ‘It’s not character. It feels like the When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? version of me. It feels like my childhood and who I was as a child.”
Producer Finneas, who has won ten Grammys, is the youngest artist ever to win the Producer of the Year, Non-Classical category.
Together, Billie and Finneas are the youngest artists in history to win two Oscars, taking home the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2022 and 2024 for No Time To Die and What Was I Made For? respectively.
