Tom Blyth has revealed he wants to return to The Hunger Games franchise after a new prequel film was announced.
The actor, 29, took on the role of a younger Coriolanus Snow in the 2023 prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, and has now hinted that he is not done with the role yet.
Tom, who starred in the film alongside Rachel Zegler, has revealed he would ‘love’ to reprise his role as the infamous villain in Suzanne Collins’ dystopian series.
“I’d love to do another one [Hunger Games movie]’ he said to the Herald Sun.
“There’s a lot more to tell about Snow and his cousin Tigris, and I feel like there’s so much about that world that’s so rich and ripe for further delving.”

President Coriolanus Snow was first played by Donald Sutherland in The Hunger Games trilogy, before Tom played an 18-year-old version of him in the prequel.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes explores the early days of the tyrannical president of Panem, who was the last hope for his fading lineage, a once-proud family that fell from grace in the post-war Capitol.
Tom’s comments come after it was revealed that a fifth novel in Suzanne Collins’ series will be published next year, and that a film adaptation is also in the works.
The novel is called Sunrise on the Reaping and is scheduled for release on March 18, 2025, with a film adaptation of the upcoming novel set to premiere in 2026.
Sunrise on the Reaping will be a prequel to the original trilogy and takes place 40 years after the events of the most recent story, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

Due to the timeframe, it’s unlikely that Tom will return as President Snow for the 2026 film, but no casting decisions have been announced yet.
Sunrise on the Reaping returns to the world of Panem 24 years before the events of The Hunger Games and focuses on the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell.
It is expected to explore the story of Katniss Everdeen’s mentor Haymitch Abernathy, originally played by Woody Harrelson, who was the winner of that year’s competition.
Author Collins said in a statement: ‘With Sunrise on the Reaping I was inspired by David Hume’s idea of implied submission and, in his words, ‘the ease with which the many are ruled by the few.

‘The story also lent itself to a deeper dive into the use of propaganda and the power of those who control the narrative. The question ‘Real or not real?’ seems more urgent to me every day.’
Despite the novel being nine months away from release, Lionsgate has announced plans for a film based on the tome.
Francis Lawrence is in talks to direct the adaptation for Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson’s Color Force banner.
Lawrence, screenwriter Michael Arndt and producer Jacobson worked with Lionsgate on The Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay.
Lionsgate has set a November 20, 2026 release date for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.

The new prequel, titled Sunrise on the Reaping, is expected to explore the early story of Katniss Everdeen’s mentor Haymitch Abernathy, originally played by Woody Harrelson.

Jennifer Lawrence appeared in the original four Hunger Games films and received critical acclaim for her portrayal of Katniss after taking on the role in the first film in 2012.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soon followed in 2013 and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and Part 2 were released in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
