    Location Moore

You find Moor, along with another NPC named Ansbach, outside Belurat, Tower Settlement. He won’t leave that first spot (more on that below) until the end of the DLC.

Moore first meeting in Belurat, Tower Settlement

When you first arrive at the Cross of the main gate Place of grace On the way to Belurat, Tower Settlement, you will find Moore and Ansbach waiting for you at Miquella’s Cross.

On your first visit, Moore will simply act as a (sweet) salesman, selling you various items from the DLC’s Shadow Realm.

Before you enter Castle Ensis, follow the road east and then south so you can find Thiollier. After you talk to him once, go back to Moore and check in. Moore will give you some Black syrup to give to Thiollier (who will convert it into Thiollier’s Concoction for the Dragon Communion Priestess (on Igon’s quest line).

Scattered throughout the DLC’s Land of Shadow, you’ll encounter six of Moore’s Forager Brood friends — non-hostile Lesser Kindreds of Rot. Talking to them will each give you a Forager Bread Cookbook. You can pick up Forager Brood Cookbooks 1 through 4 as well as 7 before taking on Shadow Keep.

One of these plagues—the one on the north side of the Church of the Crusade—will be in pretty bad shape when you find it. Use a Heating stone To cure them, travel back to the Highroad Cross Site of Grace and then return again to get the cookbook.

Once you’ve healed the Forager and picked up the Forager Brood Cookbook (4) from him, return to Moore and he will give you the Forager Brood Cookbook (7). You must do this before you break Miquella’s charm in Shadow Keep.

Moore, as you may have noticed, is fond of the Forager Brood. If you kill one of the Forager Brood you’ve met – after getting the cookbook from them, of course – Moore will move in and attack you. (The trigger for this seems a bit fickle, so you may need to kill two of them before the invasion gets going.)

If you beat him, you get his Verdigris Grootschild And Verdigris Armor Set.

Doing this will kill Moore and he will disappear from your game. Back at Main Gate Cross, you will only find Moore’s clock bearing.

Just before you reach the front door, you will receive a few messages: Somewhere a large rune has been broken…” And “And that also has a powerful charm.” These both relate to Miquella and the NPCs you’ve met so far.

You can continue until Shadow Keep Main Gate Site of GraceBut do not start the Golden hippopotamus boss fight yet – especially if you want to continue Hornsent’s questline. Instead, check in with all the NPCs you’ve encountered so far. When you’re ready, warp back to Main Gate Cross Site of Grace to talk to Moore again.

Moore won’t take the charm breaking very well. Listen to him when you first arrive, and then choose to talk to him. You have two options here:

    • Leave it behind
    • Stay sad forever

You can also choose the non-answer “I don’t know”, but this ultimately comes down to the ending “Leave it behind you”.

Let’s discuss them one by one.

If you choose this dialogue option, Moore will be one of Leda’s allies and you will have to fight him. You can pick up his stuff — Moore’s Bell bearingare American Great Shieldand the American armor set – after Leda is defeated.
