Robert De Niro revealed he celebrated his daughter Gia’s first birthday with a “sweet” party.
The 80-year-old actor welcomed his youngest child, whom he shares with girlfriend Tiffany Chen, in April last year, making him one of the oldest fathers ever.
The Taxi Driver star recently spoke to Entertainment tonight and told the media that his family had organized a party last month to commemorate his daughter’s special day.
De Niro recalled that his family gave Gia “a little cake, it was very tasty, sweet.”
The Academy Award-winning artist spoke highly of his youngest child and talked about the positive impact she made on his life.

“Well, she’s pure joy, there’s nothing about her, there’s no judgment, there’s nothing, she just is what she is and it’s just pure joy for God’s sake,” he said.
De Niro is the father of seven children, with his adopted daughter Drena, 51, being the eldest of his brood.
He shares the filmmaker with his ex-wife Diahnne Abbott, with whom he welcomed his eldest son Raphael, 47, in 1976.
The King Of Comedy star later welcomed his twin sons Julian and Aaron, 28, via surrogate in 1995, and he shares them with model Toukie Smith.
The artist subsequently married Grace Hightower, and they share a son and daughter named Elliot, 25, and Helen, 12.
Through his descendants, De Niro also became the father of four grandchildren, one of whom died last July.
The Goodfellas star opened up about parenthood during an interview with The guardstating that he had learned to embrace the uncertainty of raising children.
“It’s always good and mysterious and you don’t know what’s going to happen,” he said.

The Casino actor went on to say that he enjoyed the different aspects of parenthood that come with having children of different ages.
‘It’s different with a baby than with my eleven-year-old. My adult children. My grandchildren. It’s all different,” he said.
