Rapper Enchanting dead at 26 after being taken off life support: Artist was part of Gucci Mane’s 1017 label

Channing Nicole Larry, 26, also known as Enchanting, is in intensive care in Texas, her sister said in a Facebook post

Texas-based rapper Enchanting reportedly died after an overdose reportedly left her in intensive care.

“She came to my house for the last four days to get cleaned up. She did her best and I did everything I could to help her, she tried,” a representative of her management team told The Shade Room.

The star, whose real name is 26-year-old Channing Nicole Larry, recently signed with Gucci Mane’s 1017 label until earlier this year.

Larry’s sister, Kay Jay, wrote around 4 a.m. ET: “She’s still fighting!! She’s not dead.’ She added that people misunderstood Larry’s friend’s Facebook post, in which he posted broken heart emojis along with a photo of Larry.

One of her labelmates, K Shiday, condemned the false posts on Instagram. ‘I do not know what [else] to be real, but I’m still praying and those blogs and whoever told them aren’t bad. I want everyone to know that we are all praying and that she is still with us.”

Larry’s profile remains active on the 1017 website. The biography says Larry got into music after graduating high school.

The rapper is quoted on the website describing her style as ‘Trap-n-Blues’.

‘Other people can relate to the things I say. “I can help someone through any situation, they can listen to me and find peace,” she said.

Larry’s YouTube page has generated four million total views, plus approximately 660,000 monthly streams on Spotify.

In 2020, Larry appeared on the mixtape Gucci Mane Presents: So Icy Summer.

In addition to her music career, Larry is also a creator on OnlyFans, where she has over 25,000 likes.

Larry explained in a Interview from 2021 which she was born an army brat in Germany and then moved to Atlanta before the family settled in Fort Worth, where she considers home.

In 2023, Larry was profiled by the Dallas Observer. She told the website about her beginnings in music in the church choir and as a cheerleader in high school. After graduating, she worked with hair and nails before entering hip-hop.

‘I feel like music has always been something that came easy to me. I always felt like I was musically inclined. It was something that I thought I should probably put more time and effort into because it was natural, you know, instead of trying to force a talent,” she said.

At the time, Larry was working with producer J White, who previously made hits for Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion and Gucci Mane.

Larry also spoke about her love for the growing number of female artists in hip-hop.

‘It looks hopeful that more and more women will continue to blow up. I feel like it used to be a male-dominated sport, but now it’s becoming more and more female-dominated. I think that’s great for the girls,” she said.

In December 2022, Larry was among the rappers to pay tribute to her friend and labelmate Big Scarr, who died of an accidental drug overdose at the age of 22.

Larry wrote on her Instagram Story, “Ion wants to talk. Sorry if I don’t answer. I just can’t do it,” along with a broken heart emoji.

She also shared a photo of the rapper, writing, “My babbbyyy, my best friend, my son, I love you forever and I’m so sorry,” along with a broken heart emoji.

The message was followed by a clip of the two embracing: “I will do everything I can to hug you again.”
