Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Polish Soldier, Mateusz Sitek, will be buried on June 12, 2024 at 11:00 in the Church of St. Saint Anna in Nowy Lubiel near Wyszków after being stabbed to death by illegal migrant with a knife to the chest in Belarusian border. 



The name of the Polish soldier, killed on the border with Belarus, has become known

The soldier’s name was Mateusz Sitek, he was only 21 years old.

Matewusz was a private of the 1st Warsaw Tank Brigade. His farewell will be held on June 12, reported in the brigade.

By decision of Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Mateusz Sitek was posthumously promoted to the rank of senior sergeant and awarded the gold medal “For Services in the Defense of the Country.”

Mateusz Sitek was stabbed last week, when he stopped the attempt of a group of migrants to break through from the Belarusian side. He was stabbed by one of the migrants. The young man was hospitalized, fell into a coma, and despite all the efforts of doctors, he died.
