Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Police Officer, Rouven L, stabbed in the neck is using heart-lung machine to keep him at the hospital after attack from Afghan Knifeman, Sulaiman A, in Mannheim, Germany.

His heart is still beating. But only a heart-lung machine is keeping Rouven L. alive. The police officer (late 20s) was critically injured when he and his colleagues stopped the knife attack by Sulaiman A. (25) on Mannheim’s market square!

The attack was filmed by eyewitnesses on Friday at 11.35 a.m.: The footage shows how the Afghan first attacked the controversial Islam critic Michael Stürzenberger (59) with a combat knife at the stand of the citizens’ movement Pax Europa.

Two brave men did not hesitate. They tore Sulaiman A. away from the 59-year-old and held the attacker on the cobblestones.
Another helper (blue jacket) was confused by the confusing situation and hit another helper who was pinning Sulaiman A. to the ground.

This attack was stopped by police chief inspector Rouven L., who rushed over with his colleagues. Rouven L. tore the man in the blue jacket away from the helper.

Then a shot from another police officer put the attacker out of action. Rouven L. used his hand to cover the wound on his neck, knelt down and even stood up. With the help of his colleagues, he staggered across the market square, finally collapsed on the market square and was taken to hospital.

In addition to him, five other men (25 – 59 years old) were taken to hospitals with injuries.

In the intensive care unit, Rouven L.’s parents and partner are now fearing for his life. There is little hope for the officer, whose actions probably prevented something worse from happening.

A friend of the family told BILD: “It was clear early on that he would not survive this attack. But Rouven is an organ donor. He is being kept alive on a heart-lung machine.”
