As the much-anticipated Love Island Series 11 kicks off today, one contestant ready to make waves is Jess White, a 25-year-old retail manager from Stockport. Jess, known for her bubbly personality and unfiltered honesty, is stepping into the villa with hopes of finding love and settling down.

“Why Love Island and why now?”

In a candid pre-show interview, Jess explained her motivation for joining the popular reality series. “All my friends are in relationships, settled down with babies, and I’m going to end up that aunt that rocks up at family parties and they say ‘she’s still not met someone, she’s still going to Ibiza having a midlife crisis.’ I just want to meet somebody and to be able to do all of that stuff too,” she shared.

Jess admits that her upbringing as an only child has made her accustomed to getting her own way. “I like to have my own way. It’s sometimes easier just to say yes to me and give me what I want,” she stated, noting that while this trait might not always be advantageous, it’s an integral part of her personality.

When asked why she’s still single, Jess offered a candid assessment: “I don’t underestimate the fact that I’m hard work. I know what I want and I’m not easily pleased. When you’re a loud, outgoing woman, sometimes it can intimidate men – men don’t always want that.”

According to Jess, her friends would describe her as “brutally honest” and uplifting. “If you’re having a bad day then come and see me,” she said, emphasizing her supportive nature.

Jess has clear expectations for her future partner. “I would say nice teeth, I love a set of white Turkey teeth but a good set of Turkey teeth,” she laughed. She also values family-oriented individuals and tall partners. “If you’re vertically challenged, it’s not for me,” she quipped.

While Jess claims to be “pretty talentless,” she did reveal a penchant for karaoke, even if her singing skills are lacking. “I can’t actually sing,” she admitted with a smile.

If given the chance, Jess would love to share the villa with Jude Law from The Holiday, Rebel Wilson for her humor and sass, and a prime-era Leonardo DiCaprio. “Jude Law in The Holiday – wow!” she exclaimed.
