Earlier this week, she spent some quality time with her mother Kathleen, who visited her in New York City.
Kathleen raised Katie and four other children in Toledo, Ohio with her attorney husband Marty and supported her daughter’s career from the beginning.
As a mother, Katie tries to follow in her mother’s footsteps.
Katie stumbled to People magazine that Kathleen “was just so kind and has such a pure heart; she really leads with these two qualities, so I try to do the same.
“She’s just so kind and very generous, so I do my best to embody that and pass that on to my own daughter.”
Katie also spoke highly of the “blessing” of being able to spend quality time with Kathleen, “especially” in New York, where they “always have a good time.”
Suri will graduate from high school this month and then prepare for college at Carnegie Mellon University in the fall, where she will reportedly study fashion.
Carnegie Mellon’s School of Design is one of the nation’s oldest and most highly regarded programs.
