Jesse Plemons has denied using Ozempic after rumors spread when he revealed his dramatically slimmer physique.

The Power of the Dog star, 36, who is married to actress Kirsten Dunst, 42, said it was “unfortunate” he had lost weight when Ozempic was widely used as a weight loss aid.

He told the LA Times, “It’s really unfortunate that I decided to get healthy when everyone else decided to take Ozempic. It does not matter. Everyone will think I used Ozempic.

‘Several people talked to me about intermittent fasting and I just tried it [was] amazed at how quickly it was effective.

Referring to his role in Civil War alongside Dunst, he said: “There was a part I did that in my mind I couldn’t imagine being as big as me. I lost a little before I did that part.

The actor, 36, will be seen in 2022

‘And then I felt like I was in the rhythm, I felt better and something changed in my head. I have some control over it.’

Kirsten and Jesse met while playing an on-screen couple on the FX series Fargo in 2014. They became a real-life couple in 2016.

Jesse popped the question in 2017 and the following year they welcomed their first child, son Ennis, five.

Kirsten gave birth to their second son James, two, in 2021.

The couple eventually tied the knot in Jamaica in 2022.

Last month, Kirsten gushed about her and Jesse’s romantic and creative connection.

‘Because we fell in love with a set, we fell in love creatively first. I think we’ll always come back to that, in a way that has nothing to do with our real lives,” she told Marie Claire.

They played a couple again in Jane Campion’s critically acclaimed gay western The Power Of The Dog (2021), which earned both Jesse and Kirsten Oscar nominations.

Despite the professional connection they share, Kirsten revealed that “we don’t talk to each other on set” and that they leave each other “alone.”

Despite this, the Marie Antoinette actress said: “I enjoy working with him. The nice thing is that we trust each other so much.’

She recalled, “He sent me a scene from the miniseries he’s working on last night to ask my opinion. If I’m having a hard time deciding on something, I let him read it. I trust his opinion more than anyone, and he cares about me more than anyone.”

Kirsten laughingly teased that she and Jesse “hate the same things,” though she declined to provide details to the public.
