Jennifer Hudson and her rapper boyfriend Common are going strong.
The 42-year-old talk show host – who shared a look back at her elimination from American Idol two decades ago – shared People at the 2024 Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday that she felt “amazing.”
“Everything’s great,” Hudson stormed toward the outlet, “that’s all you need to know.”
The couple initially sparked romance rumors in 2022, after a decade of friendship.
They confirmed their relationship with the public in January when Common appeared The Jennifer Hudson Show.
During the episode, Common walked in with a bouquet of flowers for the raven-haired beauty as they chatted about their love life.

“I’m in a relationship… with one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met in my life,” the rapper said, without naming any specific person.
“She’s smart, she loves God, she has a very down-to-earth quality, she’s talented,” he continued, before joking that he would prefer his partner to be an EGOT winner — something Hudson has already accomplished.
Common then asked Hudson how her relationship was going, to which she responded that she was “very happy.”
“This relationship is a happy place for me,” Common then said of himself. ‘Seeing her happy actually makes me very happy.
“So I’m very grateful. I thank God every day, and I just let God guide this relationship,” he said in reference to Hudson.
Later he sat down Today with Hoda and Jenna to discuss their close and ‘private’ relationship.
“We had a little fun,” the rapper said of his partner’s talk show. “I was like, why not just be loving and honest about who I am and who we are. And it felt good, it was fun, we had a good time.”
He noted that he is a “very private” person when it comes to “things that are sacred,” but shared that they “had a fun time” filming together.
The pair first sparked dating rumors in October 2022 when they were spotted spending time together in their hometown of Chicago after filming Breathe (2022).

In January, the three-time Grammy winner raved that he’s “grown a lot” and that “the work” he’s done on himself has allowed him to see himself as “a wedding type.”
“I’m the type that, I’m capable and I have the capacity, and if I wanted to do that at some point in my life, I would know when the right time is,” he said during the interview.
“To me everything is divine,” he said. “I work from the discernment that God speaks – when He speaks into your stomach and you feel it in your heart and mind, so if I felt that, I will communicate with that person and if she feels that, then why not? ‘
