Helen didn’t get to have her children for Christmas because they were with their father, so she decided to take them to the sunny destination for a special New Year.

During the trip, she shared a slew of sweet snaps – with a smile that hid her hidden pain after the painful breakup with her ex and her new life as a single mother.

Although she did not comment on her struggle at the time, she was in the throes of a psychotic breakdown due to unresolved trauma surrounding her divorce.

‘I didn’t really feel well at Christmas and I didn’t feel all that different when I took the kids away for New Year. There were a lot of difficult things going on, things I just can’t talk about on Instagram.”

She ended her post by saying, “I’ve always been honest here and I’m in a really nice place now. therapy can be great and I feel like I have been working on myself with things that were quite difficult for me, but I still feel lighter now and send love and please be kind.”
