Gavin Newsom is moving his children AWAY from California’s capital city… so his daughter can attend a $60,000-a-year private school in one of the wealthiest areas in the U.S.

California Governor Gavin Newsom and his wife are moving their family to an exclusive part of the state so his daughter can attend a new private school.

The Democrat, touted as a future presidential candidate, will spend several nights of the week with wife Jennifer Siebel Newsom in his six-bedroom, $3.7 million home in suburban Sacramento.

But he will move his children to Marin County, 90 miles away, in time for the fall semester, when his eldest child Montana will enroll at the Branson School, which has tuition of up to $60,000 a year.

The move comes at a time when he is already fueling speculation that he will focus on his political future after the end of his term as governor in 2027.

Newsom indicated he already has one foot out the door Tuesday with a pre-recorded State of the State address in which he compared 2024 to 1939 — when fascism was on the rise on the eve of World War II.

Newsom’s office confirmed the move to the elite Bay Area enclave Politics.

“To ensure continuity of education for their children, the family will split their time between Sacramento and Marin heading into the upcoming academic year,” said governor’s spokesperson Izzy Gardon.

Newsom’s term as governor ends in January 2027, and he is a favorite to be one of the top candidates in the 2028 presidential race.

He was touted as a potential replacement for Joe Biden but shut down speculation and will now be a campaign surrogate.

One of his first major campaign appearances will come in Atlanta, Georgia, for the first presidential debate on Thursday evening.

Rather than disrupting their children’s lives in the middle of the school year, the move will allow Montana to start high school as a freshman.

Newsom grew up in San Francisco but then moved to Marin, one of the wealthiest communities in the country. He and Siebel both went to school there.

In the tony suburb of Ross, where the elite school Montana wants to attend is located, the median household income is $250,000 and the median home price is $1.6 million — double the average in the state of California.

The couple has four children: Montana, Hunter, Brooklyn and Dutch. In May, Siebel Newsom said she had to pull one of them out of school because of bullying.

Newsom was labeled a COVID hypocrite during the pandemic for imposing a mask mandate in schools while Montana and Hunter attended a basketball camp without masks.

Newsom pulled them out of the camp in July 2021, insisting at the time that he “missed” the email saying the children did not have to wear face coverings.

It wasn’t the only time he was accused of double standards during lockdown, after he was caught dining without a mask at the lavish French Laundry restaurant.
