Donald Trump is demanding that President Joe Biden take a drug test before the two face off in next month’s debate and again in September.

Speaking at the GOP’s annual Lincoln Reagan dinner on Friday evening in St. Paul, Minnesota, Trump suggested that Biden had used drugs when he delivered the State of the Union address in March.

Trump told his supporters that he will insist that the president make a drug test a condition of the debates.

“I just want to debate this guy, but you know – and by the way, I’m going to demand a drug test,” Trump said to cheers.

‘I am. No, that’s really me. I don’t want him coming in like the State of the Union. He was high as a kite.”

Trump said during the State of The Union that the president’s attitude surprised him.

“I said, ‘Is that Joe up there?’ ”

Trump said Biden was “exhausted” at the end of the hour-and-seven-minute speech.

“We’re going to demand a drug test,” Trump said again. “He’ll be so excited about that, just watch.”

At the time, Fox News’ Sean Hannity called Biden “Jacked-Up Joe” and said, “He sounded like a hypercaffeinated, angry, old man.”

The upcoming debates will be different from those during previous campaigns because they will not be conducted in front of a studio audience. In addition, the microphone of the candidate who is not allowed to speak at that moment will be turned off.

During Friday’s campaign stop, Trump then promised a reversal of Biden’s environmental policies when it comes to automakers, before railing against the economy’s performance. He also promised to resolve the ongoing border crisis.

Trump also took aim at Biden’s habit of telling false stories when it comes to his life experiences.

“He’s so full of bullshit,” Trump said, laughing.

“He is a terrible president who is destroying our country,” he continued before adding, “He is also a terrible human being.”

Trump then called the president a “non-athlete” and attacked his golf game, accusing him of inflating his golf skills.

Trump repeated a false claim that he won Minnesota in the 2020 election, falsely stating that he won “a landslide in your state.”

There are no indications that serious irregularities have taken place in the state.

He campaigned in Minnesota after attending his son Barron’s high school in Florida. Minnesota is traditionally a Democratic state, but Trump believes he can carry it in November.

No Republican presidential candidate has won Minnesota since Richard Nixon in 1972, but Trump came close to flipping the state in 2016, when he trailed Democrat Hillary Clinton by 1.5 percentage points.

Later today he is expected to address thousands of members of the National Rifle Association in Texas.

Trump will deliver the keynote speech as the powerful gun lobby holds a forum in Dallas. Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott will also speak at the convention.

Trump has vowed to continue defending the Second Amendment, calling himself “the best friend gun owners ever had in the White House” as the country faces a record number of deaths from mass shootings.

Last year ended with 42 mass murders and 217 deaths, making it one of the deadliest years on record.

At Friday’s campaign event, Trump said, “You know, it’s an amazing thing. People who have guns, people who legitimately have guns, love guns and use guns for the right purpose, but they tend to vote very little and yet they have to vote for us.

“There’s no one else to vote for because the Democrats want to take their guns away and they will take their guns away.” He added, “That’s why I’m going to talk to the NRA tomorrow to say, ‘You need to get out and vote.’

While Trump sees strong support in Texas, Democrats believe they have a shot at an upset in November as former NFL player Colin Allred leads an underdog campaign to unseat Republican Sen. Ted Cruz.

No Democrat has won statewide office in Texas in the past three decades, which is the longest streak of its kind in the US.
