    It has been a sensational five months for Luke Littler, culminating in his victory in the Premier League darts championship on Thursday evening, making him the competition’s youngest ever title winner.

    Rewind to January and Littler shocked the sporting world by going all the way to the final of the PDC World Championship as a 16-year-old before being beaten by Luke Humphries but still claiming £200,000 as runner-up.

    He exacted his revenge by comfortably beating rivals Humphries 11-7 in the Premier League showpiece, completing a remarkable debut season in the event.

    Littler called out those who doubted him in his celebration speech and the prize money he won in all tournaments in 2024 has been revealed.

    The 17-year-old was previously named in Forbes’ 30 under 30 list earlier this year and continued to line his pockets with rewarding wealth by pocketing £275,000 on Thursday.

    £40,000 was also deposited by Littler after four nights of competition in Belfast, Manchester, Liverpool and Aberdeen.

    His total PDC earnings now stand at £303,500 for the season to date.

    That was the latest six-figure sum Littler earned as he continued his rise to the top of the darts world during his debut year on the Premier League tour.

    His previous run to the world championship final was the first major cash prize of Littler’s career and he quickly continued to collect thousands of dollars as he became darts’ rising star.

    Victory in the Bahrain Masters saw Littler beat three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen in January and seal a further £20,000.

    A further £10,000 followed for the Warrington-born star at the Dutch Masters, continuing to climb as he became the most popular player on the tour.

    Littler showed no signs of slowing down as he continued to take even more high-profile scalps in Rob Cross’s first at the Belgian Open, claiming a further £30,000.

    Other earnings came in the form of £15,000 after reaching the quarter-finals of the UK Open, along with a further £15,000 for winning the ProTour Players Championship

    Thursday’s winning amount was his biggest yet, with Littler’s 2024 prize winnings now standing at £648,500 after an astonishing five months of darts.

    Speaking to Sky Sports after winning his first Premier League crown at the O2 Arena on Thursday, Littler said: ‘To all the doubters, you don’t doubt me anymore! I just picked this up.

    ‘It’s so good to win, but in front of my family and my girlfriend! I don’t know what to do.

    “I hit a nine-darter in the World Series and so did Phil [Taylor] – now I hit one here in the final, and so did he.’
