The Block producers have been given the green light to film the upcoming season in the quaint regional Victorian town of Daylesford.
Channel Nine’s popular renovation series was due to film this year’s series there, but delays in planning application approval saw them move to Phillip Island.
However, in December the application was finally approved by the Victorian Planning Minister to build five homes on a 2,000 sqm plot of land owned by Hygge Property.
The network has previously said that it is always looking for great locations to shoot the show.
The film was previously shot in a range of beautiful city and regional areas including St Kilda, South Yarra, Prahran and Gisborne South.

Series bosses typically have a location locked down for an upcoming season mid-year, giving them plenty of time to prepare for filming.
Daylesford is located 114km from Melbourne and its unique combination of natural beauty, historic charm and vibrant local culture provides a stunning backdrop, ideal for the reality show.
The series hit a major obstacle in September, just five months before production was set to begin on the show’s highly anticipated twentieth season.

After more than nine months of laying the groundwork in Daylesford for the renovation work in 2024, Nine was forced to pull the plug on the site.
The network initially secured sites on Raglan Street in the picturesque country town, but was driven out by locals and delays in permit approvals, the reported Herald Sun.
“We’ve had so many successful series in so many different locations, but we don’t go where we’re not welcome,” a production insider told the publication.

Despite plans for the proposed setting being approved by the Hepburn Shire, Nine was challenged in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
The network has reportedly canceled $500,000 worth of accommodations it had booked for the show’s cast and crew.
The show eventually moved to scenic Phillip Island for the soon-to-be-released 2024 series.
