Critics have slammed TikToker Adrielle Sigler (pictured), 33, for asking for donations from her followers after posting that she had spent $17,000 in one month

A single mother influencer is being heavily criticized for asking for donations from her followers after posting that she had spent $17,000 in one month.

Online critics have targeted 33-year-old Adrielle Zigler, who regularly gets millions of views on TikTok, for asking strangers to donate while admitting the cost of living is so high.

Sigler set up a GoFundMe on May 2 to raise $30,000 to help cover the costs of the move after her son was allegedly attacked in their town of Jamestown, New York, and has a separate fundraiser to help cover the cost of the brace. to help cover her son.

However, the influencer has come under scrutiny for her reliance on the generosity of others after posting a video just three days earlier in which she claimed to have spent $17,000 in one month.

“This month I spent almost $17,000. “I’m a single, stay-at-home mom of three, so I’m financially responsible for three little people,” Sigler said.

“If you’re a single mom supporting three kids, in a few months — you know, the rent needs to be paid and your car needs to be repaired — you could easily be spending $15-$20,000 a month.”

Sigler said she pays her rent in advance, although she did not specify how much, and that it is due in April. She said she paid nearly $5,000 to have her car repaired and another $1,000 for a rental car while it was being repaired.

The mother said she spent another $1,600 on summer clothes for her children, $3,000 on groceries, $800 on DoorDash and dining at restaurants, and a few hundred dollars on gas.

In addition, she paid for her car payment and $800 in her utility bills, as well as internet, five phone bills, subscriptions and in-app purchases. She also included allowances for her children and Amazon purchases, including beauty products, household items and supplements, in the overall breakdown.

‘You don’t have to involve them in sports, but if you want your children to be happy, you should. I am generous. I’m super generous. I invest all my time in making money through social media. And in return, that goes back to my children,” Sigler said.

“I wouldn’t be a good parent if I let my kids live in the bare minimum, that’s not… who the hell wants to do that?”

Viewers have since come to realize that Sigler has the potential to rake in big numbers through her social media accounts and wonder why she has multiple fundraising pages.

Sigler created GoFundMe with a target amount of $30,000 after her son was allegedly attacked during an after-school fight and she decided the family needed to move for their safety.

According to the 33-year-old, her son was beaten and robbed on May 2 by a group of students who threatened to come to their house if he told anyone what had happened to him.

“Our lives are in danger living in Jamestown, New York. We have to move as soon as possible. My son was brutally abused on May 2, 2024,” the page reads.

“Please help us move as quickly as possible,” she writes on the page, nominating herself as organizer and beneficiary.”

Sigler claimed to have filed a police report and the Jefferson Middle School students were suspended for their involvement in the fight.

A video shows Sigler having a conversation with school officials, during which they said her son had also been suspended for five days. The video shows her being told that after a thorough investigation and interviews with other students, staff believed he had agreed to participate in an organized fight, which Sigler and her son deny.

WNY News Now reported that on the day of the fight, Jamestown police charged seven people involved in an attack at Allen Park, which is near the school.

Critics have criticized Sigler for asking for donations while appearing to spend money lavishly.

In a recent TikTok, she claims to have secured a new home and paid for the lease in advance. She said she is on vacation while the current tenants move out and is seen in footage that appears to have been taken at a hotel.

On Facebook, Sigler posted that she was giving away several items, including a bunk bed, a couch, a rug and a bookshelf, rather than selling them.

“The audacity to create a $30,000 GoFundMe when she posted a video talking about how she spent $17,000,” said one TikToker.

Others have accused her of misusing the money she asks for and even exploiting her son’s struggle to make money.
