The Studio seems to be something of a passion project for Rogen, as he writes, produces, directs, and stars in episodes for the upcoming Apple TV+ production.

The series centers on an older Hollywood studio that struggles to keep up with technology and how quickly it is shaping films and TV, according to Collider.

It is believed that Rogen will play a studio director and/or producer who feels the pressure of losing his company that struggles to survive and maintain a balance between art and commerce.

In addition to Rogen and Barinholtz, the stellar main cast also includes Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn and Chase Sui Wonders.

It has also been revealed that high-profile guest stars will include Bryan Cranston, Keyla Monterroso Mejia and Dewayne Perkins.

Rogen and longtime friend and collaborator Evan Goldberg, 41, co-created the new series with Frida Perez, Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory.

The duo worked together in several successful projects, such as the comedy film This Is The End (2013), the animated adult superhero series Invincible (2021–present), and the animated superhero film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem (2023).

In addition to writing and directing The Studio, Rogen and Goldberg will also serve as executive producers, along with Perez, Huyck, Gregory, as well as Alex McAtee and Josh Fagen.
