    The body of a man has been found with burns and other injuries in a local park.

    The grim discovery was made at around 6.30am on Tuesday at Glennon Park near Pappas Way in the Gold Coast suburb of Nerang.

    Emergency services arrived on scene and found the body of the man, who had suffered multiple injuries.

    Police said the body was burned and believe the man was moved to the park after being killed elsewhere, police reported Gold Coast Bulletin.

    Queensland Police Service officers have established a crime scene in the area and are currently investigating the man’s death.

    The man has not been identified.

    Earlier we saw officers setting up a tent next to a junior rugby league as detectives scoured the crime scene to obtain evidence.

    Officers were also seen searching bushes behind the field.
