Jay Blades is being given ‘the time’ he needs to resolve personal issues affecting his life, Ny Breaking can reveal.
Earlier this month, the host’s wife, fitness instructor Lisa Marie Zbozen, walked out on him, saying their 18-month marriage “just got worse and worse until I packed a bag with a few things and left.”
In a statement, Lisa said she felt “broken,” adding: “The world got the best of my husband. I have a lot of everything else.”
Since then there have been several reports that Jay has thrown the filming of BBC’s The Repair Shop into chaos, but a source has now confirmed to MailOnline that the presenter is being ‘given the space’ he needs to ‘get his head in order’.
The insider told MailOnline: ‘Jay is a much-loved member of the team at The Repair Shop. It is a very close group, which is like a family.

‘He has gone through a very difficult time with his uncle and now he has to deal with the breakdown of his marriage.
‘The BBC fully expects Jay to return, but they will not rush or pressure him to return before he is ready and he will be given the space to sort things out and get his head in order .’
Reports recently suggested that the Repair Shop Christmas special was in jeopardy due to Jay’s absence.
But MailOnline understands that this is NOT the case.
Our source added: ‘Filming for the Christmas show is almost complete. There’s no way it won’t work out. It is one of the jewels in the crown.’
It comes after Jay’s wife Lisa returned to social media on Sunday when she wrote on Instagram that she is ‘back’.
Our source added: ‘Lisa has had a tough few weeks, but she is determined not to return to work and to begin the very long process of rebuilding her life.’

It is understood Jay is currently at the marital home in Shropshire, while Lisa, 44, is staying with her sister in Nottinghamshire.
