Gronk Nfl Scandal: Rob Gronkowski to Pay $1.9M

In September last year, VGX became the official token of the company, entering the market as a cryptocurrency attached to the Voyager platform; the company announced this in a press release; simultaneously, the fighter became a brand ambassador of Voyager and received shares in the company and VGX tokens.

COVID-19 impacted Voyager significantly and it declared bankruptcy in 2022. The same year, individual shareholders of Voyager instituted a class-action suit against Cuban Maverick- the owner of Dallas Mavericks and other promoters of Voyager with Gronkowski and other promoters included in the suit the following year.

The investors announced a settlement with Gronkowski in February. Last week’s filing indicated that the Voyager investors were ready to proceed with “the first tranche of proposed Class Settlements,” involving Gronkowski, Oladipo, and Cassill.

“Plaintiffs have now settled with Voyager promoters Cassill, Gronkowski, and Oladipo for millions of dollars in relief to the class, leaving Co-Defendants Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavericks as the remaining Defendants for trial in November 2024,” the filing stated.

According to an accompanying exhibit, Gronkowski will pay $1.9 million, Oladipo will pay $500,000, and Cassill will pay $25,000 to settle the claims. If the court approves the settlement, the claims against the three will be dismissed.

Coincidentally, the investors filed the proposed settlement with the court just two days before former NFL quarterback Tom Brady – Gronkowski’s former teammate – participated in a comedic roast.

During the roast, several comedians and other stars commented on Brady’s previous crypto endorsements, though they did not mention FTX, the defunct exchange promoted by Sam Bankman-Fried.

Comedian Kevin Hart joked that the roast was taking place at the Kia Forum instead of the Crypto.com Arena to avoid reminding people Brady owed them money, while fellow comedian Nikki Glaser took a more pointed approach.

Rob Gronkowski’s First Pitch Spike at Red Sox Game Gets Tom Brady’s Seal of Approval

Now Gronkowski was more of a receiver in his NFL career and not expected to make passes like this. What is more, the retired football player, New England Patriots star tight end took the pitcher’s position wearing the Red Sox uniform and 87 number on his back and, in addition, the nickname with which millions of people know him – Gronk.

He wound up, prepared to kick his leg high and throw the ball to home plate, to Gronk, but in exchange for a strike, he got a spike.

In a show-stopping Gronk Spike if there ever was one, the fans of the Fenway Park went gaga. With his clenched fist held up high, grinning triumphantly even as he was leaving the playing arena, this is certification that the future NFL Hall of Famer wished to savor that success.

Gronkowski has some fun afterwards, as do all great NFL players do, and he performed the famous Gronk Spike – 106 of them in 11 years for the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with his teammate and quarterback, Tom Brady.

Brady, who, as earlier commented in another interview, may have some doubt about his retirement from football, endorsed the spike. Check out his response to his friend’s viral first pitch Gronk spike!!!! – Love it, Brady said.

It was not only Brady who liked the shallow cutting popular online and many used the chance to make fun.

One of the comments that a user wrote is ‘Torn UCL out until 2025,’ which probably sounded a little too real for several MLB fans. Some clicked heads to another tight end, Travis Kelce, who has been having fun enjoying his off-season as well.

But the fire Gronk sparked for the Red Sox before the game never caught on. The Red Sox was unable to produce runs and thus they were shutout 6-0 by the Cleveland Guardians and this puts them at 9-8 on the season.
