The musician and mogul may be shown physically abusing singer Cassie Ventura, often known as Cassie, in a 2016 hotel room in Los Angeles in a video that has gone viral.

As Ventura waits for an elevator, Combs can be seen in the security film racing down a hallway while wearing only a towel and socks. He then throws Ventura to the ground and grabs her by the neck.

Then, as she’s on the ground, he can be seen kicking her, gathering the things she had dropped, kicking her once more, and trying to pull her into a different area of the corridor. There is no audio in the video.

In another scene, Ventura can be seen picking up a hotel phone after Combs has left the nearby area.

The rapper then appears to push Ventura out of frame as he makes his way back to the elevator area. He appears to be seated in a chair, reaching over to a table, and tossing something in her way as reflected in a mirror.

CNN reports that Combs later paid $50,000 to InterContinental Century City for the security footage captured in the corridor.

The video seems to support a number of claims made by Cassie Ventura in her 2023 lawsuit, wherein she stated that Combs had repeatedly raped, assaulted, and trafficked her over a ten-year period.

Combs got “very drunk and punched Ms Ventura in the face, giving her a black eye,” according to the lawsuit, which described the incident as happening “around March 2016.”

Ms. Ventura had tried to leave the hotel room after the mogul dozed off, but he woke up and “followed her into the hotel hallway while yelling at her,” according to the complaint.

According to the report, “He grabbed at her and then threw glass vases in the hallway at her, causing glass to crash around them as she ran to the elevator to escape.”

In addition, the lawsuit stated that shortly after the singer’s meeting, Combs signed her to his label in 2005, when she was only 19 and he was 37, bringing her into his “ostentatious, fast-paced, and drug-fueled lifestyle.”

According to Ms. Ventura, the violence started as soon as their relationship did, and in 2018, when she was attempting to break it off, he broke into her Los Angeles home and sexually assaulted her.

A day after Combs filed the complaint, it was settled for an unknown sum of money.

At the time, Combs’ lawyer stated that the deal was “in no way an admission of wrongdoing” and that it did not alter his denial of the accusations, while Ms. Ventura told CNN that she had decided to “resolve this matter amicably.”

The footage seems to support a number of claims stated in a lawsuit filed by Cassie Ventura in 2023. She said that over a ten-year period, Combs repeatedly trafficked, raped, and beat her.

The allegation notes that the fight happened “around March 2016” and that Combs “punched Ms. Ventura in the face, giving her a black eye” after being “very intoxicated.”

Ventura tried to leave the hotel room after Combs fell asleep, but he woke up, followed her out into the hallway, and angrily confronted her. Then, as she fled to the elevator, he caught her and flung glass vases at her, causing glass to smash all around them.

Additionally, according to the lawsuit, Combs signed Ventura to his label in 2005 when she was 19 and he was 37, and shortly afterward, he introduced her to his “ostentatious, fast-paced, and drug-fueled lifestyle.” According to Ventura, the violence started as soon as their relationship did, and when she attempted to break it off in 2018, he broke into her Los Angeles home and sexually assaulted her.

A day after it was filed, Combs’ case was settled for an unknown sum of money. While Combs’ attorney said the payment was “in no way an admission of wrongdoing” and did not alter his denial of the allegations, Ventura told CNN that she made the decision to “resolve this matter amicably.”

In 2016, Sean “Diddy” Combs was captured on camera striking and kicking Cassie Ventura, his ex-girlfriend, in a hotel corridor.

The video, which CNN was able to collect from different perspectives, shows the music mogul chasing Ventura down the hallway while wearing a towel. He then attacks her close to the elevators and tries to drag her back down the hallway.

According to reports, the event happened at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles. Based on publicly accessible images of the inside of the defunct hotel, CNN confirmed the location.

Combs kicks Ventura once more before kicking her again and leaving the scene. He then gets a pocketbook and bag off the floor next to the elevators. Later, Ventura is seen rising slowly, picking things up off the floor, and getting to a hotel phone by the elevators.

When Combs reappears, still wearing only a towel and socks, Ventura is shown being shoved and something thrown at her by Combs in a mirror immediately across from the surveillance camera.
