First Trailer for “Moana 2” Released

Disney made an exciting news on Wednesday that “Moana 2” would be released in theaters on November 27. The highly anticipated sequel takes up three years after the events of the previous film, promising another epic maritime journey with Moana and the demigod Maui.

The story follows Moana as she receives an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, urging her to journey to the far seas of Oceania. The voyage is fraught with peril as Moana and her unlikely crew navigate long-lost waters and confront challenges unlike anything she has faced before. Fans can catch a glimpse of the upcoming adventures in the newly released teaser trailer.

Returning to their iconic roles, Auli‘i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson will once again bring Moana and Maui to life. Both stars shared their excitement and the new trailer with their followers on social media, further building anticipation for the sequel.

“Moana 2” is helmed by directors David Derrick, Jr., Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller. The film is produced by Christina Chen and Yvett Merino, with an impressive musical team including Grammy winners Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, Grammy nominee Opetaia Foa‘i, and three-time Grammy winner Mark Mancina.
