Draymond Green accuses Karl-Anthony Towns of LYING after Timberwolves star claimed he takes 1,500 shots in practice every day

The Inside the NBA crew claimed Karl-Anthony Towns lied about taking 1,500 practice shots

Karl-Anthony Towns was mocked by the Inside the NBA crew after the Timberwolves star went 0 for 8 during Minnesota’s third straight loss to the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals.

While speaking to reporters Sunday evening, Towns claimed that in practice he “takes up to 1,500 shots a day.”

‘[I] shot so well all the playoffs, confidence was extremely high, and to have these unfortunate balances and this one [shots] that just don’t go in, it’s hard,” he continued.

“As far as confidence goes, I just have to keep shooting.”

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, who participated in TNT’s NBA Playoffs coverage this season, was the first to suggest the 28-year-old was lying.

“Do you know what cap is?” Green asked his co-hosts, referring to the slang term for lying. “KAT capping,” he added.

Hall of Famer Charles Barkley also labeled Towns a liar and seemed shocked that each player was able to take 1,500 shots in one day.

Meanwhile, Kenny Smith gave his thoughts from the perspective of a former point guard.

“I never took pictures, I took pictures,” he explained.

“So to make 300 a day takes about 30-40, about 45 minutes. So if you take 1500, it’ll take you a good two and a half hours, and you’re already practicing shooting, so it’s a limit.”
