Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Misa Hylton has broken her silence, saying that the surveillance video showing him physically assaulting Cassie Ventura has “caused her own trauma” and emphatically claims “I know exactly how she feels.”

Hylton, 51, was Diddy’s first public relationship and the pair share 30-year-old son Justin Combs. She has that too a son and daughter with ex-husband Jojo Brim.

Hylton posted a photo of all of the rapper’s children and stated that Diddy “needs help” and is now praying that he “does the work and receives it.”

In her post, she wrote, “I am heartbroken that Cassie has to relive the horror of her abuse, and my heart goes out to her. I know exactly how she feels, and my empathy has created my own trauma.”

“These young people have been raised by women who want the best for them. We put God and education first and have always been united in our collective effort to support their dreams.

“Two of the youngest do not have their mothers here and it has been our duty to support them. Their father needs help and I pray that he really does and receives the personal work.

Last weekend, the controversial rapper (54) broke up for the first time since the disturbing video in which he attacked his ex-girlfriend Casandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura appeared this week.

Shortly afterwards, Ventura’s lawyer said his apology video was “pathetic, desperate and dishonest” since he had proclaimed his innocence five months earlier and said she was only suing him for a “payday.”

Diddy looked into the camera and said, “So hard to think about the darkest times in your life, sometimes you have to do that. I had enough of it.

“I mean I’ve hit rock bottom, but I’m not making excuses, my behavior in that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video, I’m disgusted by it.

‘I was disgusted when I did it then, and I’m still disgusted by it now. I went and sought professional help, I started going to therapy, going to rehab.

“I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m very sorry. But I am determined to be a better man every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness, I’m truly sorry.”

Sources said Diddy went to rehab after the 2016 incident and continues to seek both therapy and spiritual work.

The 2016 video, obtained by CNN, shows the shirtless rapper with a towel wrapped around his waist as he chases Cassie down the hallway of the InterContinental Hotel in Century City.

When she tried to get into an elevator, he grabbed her by the back of the head and knocked her to the ground.

He then kicked her as she lay motionless on the ground, before grabbing the two designer bags she had tried to escape with.

Diddy stood over her, kicked her again and then dragged her by the hoodie back to their room.

Cassie claimed in a now-settled lawsuit that Diddy paid the same hotel $50,000 for the footage after the attack.
