Comedian Dave Hughes has dropped a bombshell about his recent drug experience.
The comedian, 53, made the revelations on Monday morning 2Day FM Hughesy, Ed & Erin show.
Dave called the show for the Secret Lives of Sydney segment with his voice disguised by a vocoder to make the confession.
‘I had an accident on New Year’s Eve and the recovery took a long time. I walked past a medical marijuana store and ended up going there without telling my wife about it,” Dave said.
“I was on medical marijuana for a few weeks and my wife didn’t know and she kept saying, ‘You sleep so well’ and I said, ‘Yes, I do,’” he added.

Hughesy’s co-host then asked the ‘caller’ if he was keeping the medicine for himself or if he was sharing the recipe with his friends.
“Look, I might have given some friends and colleagues,” he said, before co-host Ed Kavalee, 44, interrupted.
“They say this a lot, but it makes me sick,” Ed replied with mock disgust.
The voice decoder was then removed, leaving the audience with the joke that it was Dave the whole time.
It comes as Hughesy last week claimed his ‘personal friend’ Lindsay Lohan was annoying other panellists on The Masked Singer Australia.
Last Thursday morning Hughesy, Ed and ErinHughes reminisced about his time co-hosting The Masked Singer with Lohan, 37, and revealed that the Hollywood star often held up production.

Hughesy said Lohan often turned a 20-minute break during filming into a three-hour break during the celebrity singing show.
“There’s a point where the head comes off and whoever’s under the head has to have makeup done,” Dave said.
‘So then you have a little break. But Lindsay often made that break last 2 to 3 hours because we couldn’t get her out of her trailer…what is Lindsay doing in the trailer?!” the radio host explained, before adding that he was a big fan of The Parent Trap star.
‘I enjoyed Lindsay. But I think she irritated some of the other jurors.”
