A Boston news anchor appeared to have swallowed a mid-air fly while the insect was crawling on her face during her morning show.

Vanessa Welch of Boston 25 News was mid-sentence when what looked like a fly flew into her eye and then fell into her mouth.

The TV reporter has been praised for continuing her domestic abuse sentence despite the egregious incident.

Welch seemed unfazed by the fly – and social media users were amazed at her ability to hold on.

The fly then fell into her mouth

    “That’s professionalism,” someone commented.

“No, she needs a raise, she hasn’t even blinked,” another responded.

‘Not even stunned. Top professionalism,” said one user.

Although not everyone is convinced that it was indeed a bug that ended up in her mouth – some speculate that it was just a stray eyelash

“It looks more like she’s wearing individual strip lashes (like lashify) and one of them got loose and came off while she was blinking,” one person commented.
