Bill O’Reilly says Biden should pardon Trump and Hunter to heal divided nation before November election

Bill O’Reilly has said President Joe Biden should pardon his son Hunter and Donald Trump to heal the nation.

The former Fox News star appeared on News Nation Thursday to discuss Trump’s conviction in his hush money trial in New York, warning that the verdict could spark “violence.”

“President Biden should pardon Donald Trump for all crimes and publicly introduce that governor [Kathy] Hochul is doing the same thing,” O’Reilly told Chris Cuomo.

“And then…President Biden should pardon his son Hunter. That would plunge the entire bitter system into absolute chaos.”

O’Reilly said that while Biden “could lower the level of hate… he won’t, because he doesn’t have the ‘fiber’ of Gerald Ford.”

President Ford famously pardoned his predecessor Richard Nixon in 1974 after resigning from the White House.

The expert then clarified that there was no equivalence between the two lawsuits: ‘I don’t measure [Hunter] Biden vs. Trump. I tell Biden what is best for the country.

Hunter Biden is currently facing federal charges for possessing a gun for 11 days after lying about his drug use. He is also accused of evading $1.4 million in federal income taxes.

In addition to his sentencing on Thursday, Trump faces a federal lawsuit in Florida over classified documents found in his home. He is also facing lawsuits in DC and Georgia for trying to overturn the 2020 election.

O’Reilly also questioned the jury system, recalling how it worked for OJ Simpson in the infamous 1994 double murder case.

“The jury system is not infallible… they are human, they carry biases and prejudices with them into the courtroom,” he said.

O’Reilly also went after Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, saying the case against Trump “is not the Teapot Dome scandal.” It’s not Watergate. It’s not even Monica Lewinsky and Bill Clinton.”

“We all know this beef is low level,” he added.

Trump’s conviction on 34 crimes marks the end of the former president’s historic hush-money trial, but the battle over the case is far from over.

Now comes the sentencing and the possibility of prison time. A lengthy appeal procedure. And all the while, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee is still dealing with three more criminal cases and a campaign that could return him to the White House.

After more than nine hours of deliberation over two days, a Manhattan jury found Trump guilty of falsifying corporate records in the case stemming from a hush money payment to porn actor Stormy Daniels during his 2016 presidential campaign.

The Biden campaign released its own statement not long after the verdict. “In New York today we saw that no one is above the law,” said communications director Michael Tyler

Trump angrily denounced the trial as a “disgrace” and told reporters he was an “innocent man.”

“In New York today we saw that no one is above the law,” said communications director Michael Tyler.

“Donald Trump always wrongly believed that he would never face consequences if he broke the law for his own personal gain.

“But today’s verdict does not change the fact that the American people are faced with a simple reality. There is still only one way to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office: through the ballot box.

“Convicted felon or not, Trump will be the Republican nominee for president.”

The White House, on the other hand, kept its distance: “We respect the rule of law and have no additional comment.”

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg thanked the 12-member jury that convicted Donald Trump, crediting his team of prosecutors, while declining to say whether he would seek prison time for the former president who brutally attacked him.

‘I did my job. Our job is to follow the facts and the law without fear or favor,” Bragg said in response to criticism of the case.

Asked whether his office would object to efforts by attorneys to suspend a possible prison sentence for the former president — which experts call unlikely — Bragg said, “I’m not going to get into hypotheticals.”

Asked whether his team would seek prison time for Trump, Bragg responded: “We will speak in our lawsuits as we have during these proceedings,” he said.
