    Benedict Cumberbatch kept it cool and casual on Wednesday while in Los Angeles promoting his upcoming psychological thriller miniseries Eric on Netflix.

    The 47-year-old English actor wore a plain white T-shirt under a black two-pocket shirt and black pants while attending a Netflix event at Sunset Las Palmas Studios.

    The Sherlock star completed his outfit with black sneakers with white trim.

    Benedict wore rose-colored glasses and sported stubble on his face.

    The London-born star also stars and executive produces the upcoming Netflix miniseries Eric.

    He teamed up for a group photo at the event with co-stars Gaby Hoffmann and McKinley Belcher III and miniseries writer and creator Abi Morgan.

    Gaby wore a colorful red dress and black jacket, along with yellow heels.

    McKinley looked sharp in an olive shirt, green pants and black boots.

    Welsh writer Abi kept it simple with a black top and matching trousers and black and white sneakers.

    In the six-part British psychological thriller, Benedict plays Vincent, a puppeteer in 1980s New York whose nine-year-old son, Edgar, has gone missing. Vincent then becomes increasingly volatile and alienated from his friends and family.

    After having problems with substance abuse, Vincent becomes convinced that he can reunite with Edgar with the help of his doll, Eric, who is seven feet tall.

    Eric is scheduled for May 30 on Netflix.

    Benedict is executive producing alongside Abi, director Lucy Forbes, English producer Jane Featherstone and Lucy Dyke.

    The producer of the series is Holly Pullinger.

    Benedict also served as an executive producer and starred in the five-episode TV miniseries Patrick Melrose that premiered on Showtime.

    He is also executive producer of the upcoming miniseries The 39 Steps, in which he will play Major General Sir Richard Hannay, the fictional character created by Scottish novelist John Buchan, who was further popularized by the Alfred Hitchcock film The 39 Steps 1935.
