A small plane crashes in Montana, killing the pilot and a passenger

    BILLINGS, Mont. — A single-engine plane crashed in southeastern Montana, killing the pilot and passenger, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

    The Piper PA-18 crashed Tuesday around 4:30 p.m. near Tillitt Field Airport, east of the city of Forsyth, the FAA said. The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the cause of the crash.

    Rosebud County Sheriff Allen Fulton was not immediately available for comment Wednesday morning.
